Prognóstico do osteossarcoma pediátrico: Fatores de risco e análise de sobrevida

O estudo revisou a literatura sobre fatores de risco e prognóstico do osteossarcoma pediátrico, focando na influência desses fatores na análise de sobrevida. Utilizando a metodologia de revisão integrativa e seguindo as diretrizes PRISMA. Os fatores de risco mais frequentemente citados incluíram a presença de metástase no diagnóstico, resposta inadequada à quimioterapia, idade avançada no momento do diagnóstico e características tumorais agressivas, como margens permeativas e necrose tumoral significativa. A análise evidenciou que esses fatores estão associados a uma pior sobrevida global e sobrevida livre de eventos, impactando negativamente o prognóstico. Constatou-se também que a cardiotoxicidade, especialmente em pacientes tratados com doxorrubicina, é um fator de risco emergente que requer monitoramento rigoroso. A conclusão do estudo destaca a importância da identificação precoce e do acompanhamento dos fatores de risco para aprimorar o tratamento e os desfechos clínicos em pacientes pediátricos. A pesquisa sugere que futuros estudos devem investigar abordagens terapêuticas e diagnósticas que reduzam os riscos e melhorem as taxas de sobrevida desses pacientes.
