SEQUELAS CARDIOVASCULARES DE LONGO PRAZO PÓS-COVID-19: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA

Este estudo teve como objetivo realizar uma revisão integrativa da literatura sobre as sequelas cardiovasculares de longo prazo em indivíduos recuperados da COVID-19. A busca foi conduzida nas bases PubMed e EMBASE, incluindo artigos publicados entre 2020 e 2025. Após aplicação dos critérios de elegibilidade, 12 estudos foram incluídos. Os resultados demonstraram que, mesmo após a resolução da fase aguda da infecção por SARS-CoV-2, muitos pacientes desenvolvem manifestações cardiovasculares persistentes, como miocardite, arritmias, hipertensão arterial, dor torácica, disfunção ventricular e alterações detectadas por ressonância magnética cardíaca. Os mecanismos fisiopatológicos mais discutidos envolvem inflamação crônica, lesão endotelial, formação de microtrombos e disfunção autonômica. Os achados reforçam a necessidade de acompanhamento cardiológico prolongado, inclusive em pacientes previamente saudáveis. Conclui-se que a COVID-19 pode desencadear efeitos subclínicos e duradouros no sistema cardiovascular, com implicações significativas para a prática clínica, saúde pública e pesquisa futura.
