IMPACTOS DO ESTRESSE PÓS-PANDEMIA NA COGNIÇÃO E NA TOMADA DE DECISÃO CLÍNICA DE PROFISSIONAIS DE ENFERMAGEM

O presente estudo teve como objetivo revisar a literatura científica sobre os impactos do estresse pós-pandemia na cognição e na tomada de decisão clínica de profissionais de enfermagem. Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa, utilizando bases de dados internacionais e nacionais (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO e ScienceDirect), com artigos publicados entre 2020 e 2024. Foram incluídos estudos que investigaram falhas cognitivas, fadiga decisória e fatores relacionados ao estresse ocupacional em enfermeiros. A análise identificou que o estresse pós-pandemia está associado a lapsos de atenção, memória e execução de tarefas, bem como a fadiga decisória moderada a intensa, afetando a qualidade e a consistência das decisões clínicas. Fatores como suporte organizacional, qualidade do sono e resiliência individual atuaram como moderadores, reduzindo os impactos negativos. Os achados destacam a necessidade de estratégias organizacionais e educacionais que minimizem a sobrecarga cognitiva e promovam a saúde mental dos profissionais. Conclui-se que o estresse prolongado do período pandêmico exerce efeitos duradouros sobre funções cognitivas essenciais, comprometendo a tomada de decisão clínica, e que intervenções direcionadas podem mitigar tais impactos, reforçando a importância de políticas de suporte institucional e programas de bem-estar.
